Subsea Monitoring Equipment Servicing

Overview

Marine Plant Hire supported the servicing of subsea monitoring equipment in the Southern North Sea. Mobilising from Ramsgate, Multicat vessel Tom Scruby transported technicians and equipment to site, providing a safe and efficient platform for recovery, servicing, and redeployment operations.

The Challenge

The project required the precise recovery and redeployment of sensitive subsea monitoring equipment in an area with strong tidal currents. Accurate station-keeping was essential to meet tight installation tolerances while ensuring the safety and comfort of onboard technicians.

How We Delivered

Operating from Ramsgate, Tom Scruby provided a stable working platform and onboard accommodation throughout the campaign. With triple-screw propulsion and a 360-degree thruster system, the vessel maintained position in challenging tidal conditions, enabling the crew to safely recover, service, and redeploy the equipment with the required precision.

The Outcome

The equipment was successfully recovered, serviced, and redeployed, completing the project safely and efficiently. Combining excellent station-keeping capability with comfortable technician accommodation, Tom Scruby delivered a reliable offshore support solution that maximised operational effectiveness and minimised disruption.
