Dredging and Cable Support in Liverpool Bay

Overview

Multicat vessel 'Tom Scruby' was mobilised to support Boskalis during dredging and cable laying operations in Liverpool Bay. Working alongside the world's largest and most powerful marine backhoe dredger, Magnor, the vessel provided key marine support throughout the project.

The Challenge

The works were carried out in an area with strong tidal currents and shallow-water conditions, requiring reliable vessel support to maintain safe and efficient operations.

How We Delivered

With her ultra-shallow draft and large deck space, Tom Scruby was ideally suited to the project. The vessel assisted with positioning Magnor in the shallow working area and carried out essential stores and logistics runs to and from the Port of Mostyn.

The Outcome

The project was completed successfully within the required timeframe. Tom Scruby proved to be a valuable asset, helping to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of the dredging campaign.
