Sinbad

Sinbad Barge is a MECAL Cat 2 modular pontoon system built in 1985 and designed for coastal and inshore operations up to 60 miles offshore. Comprising five interlocking pontoon units, the system can be deployed in multiple configurations to suit varying project requirements. In 2-unit form, it offers 18 GT and 22-tonne loading capacity at 0.62m draft; as a full 5-unit configuration, capacity increases to 56.2 GT and 43.8 tonnes. This modularity makes Sinbad Barge highly suitable for temporary access platforms, plant support, small crane operations and marine construction work in constrained or variable site conditions.
