Marine Plant Hire Names New Damen 2611 Multicat Workboat ‘Tom Scruby’ at Seawork 2026

The vessel, now named Tom Scruby, was formally introduced into service in front of clients, industry partners, colleagues and friends gathered at one of Europe's leading maritime exhibitions.

The Damen 2611 Multicat is widely recognised across the marine sector for its versatility, reliability and ability to support a broad range of marine operations. The investment reflects Marine Plant Hire’s continued commitment to expanding its operational capabilities and enhancing the support it provides to clients undertaking increasingly complex projects across the UK and overseas.

While the arrival of the new vessel marks an important milestone for the business, the naming ceremony was also an opportunity to recognise the contribution of Tom Scruby, a longstanding adviser, supporter and friend of Marine Plant Hire and the wider Ancora Group.
